What Goes Around…

comes back to haunt.

This, excerpted from the current issue of Smithsonian magazine:

"They were a hybrid group….representing myriad issues and a wide range of
philosophies, but they were united behind an encompassing cause: ending the long
war .… and challenging Democratic Party leaders and their delegates to break
with the past, create change—yes, that was the term....—and remake the battered U.S. political system."


Sound familiar?

That selection was referring to the 1968 Democratic convention; the war in question was Vietnam.

We all know how well that worked out for the Dems…
