Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Borepatch…

So, I’m goofin’ around on the intertubes this evening, & being pretty bored, I decide to check my stats. I know my hit counter can usually be replicated by using my God given digits (occasionally I have to drop trou), but I was stunned to see a somethingalanche had driven my daily hits to unprecedented levels.

What inane drivel had I spouted that would warrant such an excess of attention?

Seems that in a post last month about Fat Ted’s driving/swimming abilities, I borrowed a pic from a Google search for “Chappaquidick” (Indian name for “drown white girl here”, or possibly, depending on the translating authority, “Be quick on the dick or you’ll chap your lips”), & that is generating a shit-ton of hits.

But how did that happen?

I have no idea how Google's algorithm works for images. I do know that having the right name in the post title helps (Google rates "metadata" higher than body text).

When the Google floodgates truly open, you can't keep up, even dropping trou. But hopefully some of those visitors will stop back ...

Awesome. Truly awesome.
