Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Borepatch…

So, I’m goofin’ around on the intertubes this evening, & being pretty bored, I decide to check my stats. I know my hit counter can usually be replicated by using my God given digits (occasionally I have to drop trou), but I was stunned to see a somethingalanche had driven my daily hits to unprecedented levels.

What inane drivel had I spouted that would warrant such an excess of attention?

Seems that in a post last month about Fat Ted’s driving/swimming abilities, I borrowed a pic from a Google search for “Chappaquidick” (Indian name for “drown white girl here”, or possibly, depending on the translating authority, “Be quick on the dick or you’ll chap your lips”), & that is generating a shit-ton of hits.

But how did that happen?

Calling Dr. Borepatch…

You are correct ma'am.

I don't know what else to say, so check it out here.

Good grief...

Ouch!

Tam has a post on the Toy Police; she’s trying to remember when she signed up for all this gubmint intrusion into our lives.

Well, this one is even better, err, worse.

DICK POLICE!

Now that’s intrusion.

I hope they don’t start doing spot checks…

After The Work Is Done

Ever had a cool, tall, ice filled Tanguay & Tonic on a warm summer's night after a crappy, hot, work day?

Yeah, me neither, but this cheap gin should work OK.

(Is Polar a good brand? I thought they made soda...)

Day Off…

due to bitchin’ heat & humidity.

My task today was to be installing fiberglass insulation in an 8 x 10’ room, most of which needs to be cut lengthwise to fit in the allowable spaces.

Nice, fuzzy fiberglass floating around…

Cannon Labels...

I've been woefully remiss in labeling posts here. There really hasn't been much reason to, as most posts are just stuff I want to yak about at any given time.

However, I noted the other day it's difficult to follow particular subjects (duh- that's why Labels were invented), so I've labeled all cannon posts so folks can read about that and not all the other crap I stick up here.

Label: "cannonania"

ZOMG PayPal hatez wounded soldierz!!11!

Go over to Borepatch's place & see what he's doing.

Kudos dude...

Cannon Conniptions...

The cannon I put together has gotten a lot of virtual ink recently, so if interested in reading about its making, take the wayback machine to here, & read forward.

If anyone has any questions about do-it-yourself cannon making, I can mebbe help, & I do have plans available...

Blogroll Updates

are done.
If I have missed anyone, drop me a comment & I'll fix it ASAP.

It looks like all the AARs are up, & there are so many excellent posts & links back & forth, it's difficult to give directions. So, I'd say just go to Jay's or Lissa's place & follow the bouncing linkies.

Everyone has had something to say, so get a cool drink & a comfortable chair, & relive (or virtually participate in) the entire remarkable affair. Don't forget the comments- there are some gems in there.

...and a good time was had by all, amen.

It Happened Again!

Today the peaceful, tranquil, & serene peacefullinity of the DT ranch was shattered by an invading horde of heavily armed bloggers.

No casualties were reported.

Over 20 armed, but friendly, folks took part in an exercise in freedom & fun, combined with a stimulus plan for ammo manufacturers.

Rain continually threatened, but I think it was dissipated by the huge cloud of gunsmoke that permeated the area; ‘sides, God loves shooters.

I won’t go on about it here, but check the sidebar for more info; I’ll link particulars when they become available.

Thanks to Jay G for the organization of the event, to all the attendees for their “esprit de corps”, & damn fine cleanup after the event- the range was cleaner after the event than before it started.

Well played folks, well played.

Thanks. Y’all come back again, y’hear?
