The Intolerable Acts

were fueled by the Stamp Act of 1765.

That legislation(?) was passed on March 22, 245 years ago.




Interesting choice of dates for our latest congressional rubbish......

Actually April 22, but you're point hits center mass. I hadn't thought of those, but it's right.

Uh, no. The English Parliament passed the Act on 22 March 1765. Implementation was later, of course.
But yeah, you get the point...
